Program Details
The Network Security OMSCS degree consists of 36 credit hours. While the program is designed for students with two years or more of IT experience, it may be completed by those with less experience if course work is supplemented with additional relevant professional experience.
At the end of this program, you will be able to: Complete the following core courses: Computer Forensics; Cybersecurity: Attacks and Countermeasures; Operating Systems Security; Applied Cryptography; and Secure Software Development. Develop expertise in network security through elective courses such as Computer Network Security; Information Assurance Policy; Digital Forensics; Secure Software Development;
Furthermore, Cloud Computing Security; and Advanced Topics in Information Assurance. Demonstrate a high level of competency in cyber security through a capstone project. Accreditation Information Georgia State University’s Office of Graduate Education is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award master’s degrees.
