Secure Web Gateway Sometimes Make You Feel Stupid!

You would love to download your favorite apps from Google Play store without being prompted to enter a secure web gateway password every time. As much as you hate entering passwords, you also don’t want to be bothered with typing them over and over again. Well, now there’s an easier way out! Why not use the auto-login feature?

One can easily log in to his/her Secure Web Gateway account using their Google account. But the problem is that it doesn’t work in every case.

Steps you may try

The following are some scenarios where this trick may or may not work:

It may not work when you are using a third-party application launcher, like Nova Launcher or Action Launcher.

It doesn’t work with some apps that run on top of Android OS.

The trick works only for apps that don’t require you to provide any special permissions. For example, if you want to login to your Gmail account after doing this trick, you have to give extra permissions such as access to the storage and camera. In such cases, the trick won’t work.

How to do

1: Open the Google Play store on your device. Click on the three-dot menu button on the top-right corner of the screen. Then choose Settings from the drop-down menu.

2: In the settings screen, tap on “Set or change PIN for purchases”.

3: In this step, you will be prompted to enter a six-digit PIN. Enter any six-digit number and confirm it. Now, you will be asked to enter and confirm a second six-digit number. Once done, you will be asked to enter your email ID. Use any email ID that is associated with your Google account.

After doing that, you will be asked to enter the security code sent to your email address. Once done, you will be asked to finally provide a password for purchases on Google Play store. Enter your secure web gateway password here and then click on “Done setting up” button at the bottom of the screen.

4: That’s it! Now whenever you download apps from Google Play store, they will automatically open without prompting you for the secure web gateway password again!

However, if one doesn’t want to set up all these things then this trick is definitely something worth trying out!

How to Use Google Play Store Without Secure Web Gateway Password?

You can download a third-party application launcher for your Secure Web Gateway account and then download the Google Play store app from the launcher. However, you need to get around Google Play store’s security protocols.

One can easily use an app that downloads APKs directly from Google Play store without using any app downloader. However, since this is a very risky thing to do, one should make sure that he/she knows what he/she is doing.

Conclusion:

If you love downloading apps from the Google Play store and hate being bothered with the secure web gateway password prompt then there are a lot of ways for getting around this problem. But if one doesn’t want to set up all these things then this trick is definitely something worth trying out!
