Outbound Firewall Types

Packet Filtering Firewall Types
This type of service does not keep track of the traffic that goes through your computer. So, it is called the less secure firewall because it does not give the best security for your computer. It allows all types of traffic into your computer without checking any of them.
Also, a virus or malware on your computer but at the same time it allows these unwanted programs into your system as well so it is not very safe at all.
Application-Level Gateway Firewall Types
This type of firewall is mostly used on the internet because its main function is scanning the content inside the packets. Then it allows what it finds safe and blocks everything else. So, the good thing about this Application Level Gateway is that it can scan for content within applications.
This is before allowing them access to your computer so if you want to protect yourself from hackers out there. Also, this firewall type will be best for you. Because it will make sure that you are safe from all types of malicious programs out there on the internet.
Also, it is known as a proxy server firewall because it acts like a proxy server. This is between your computer and everything else out there on the internet. So, this firewall makes sure that everything coming in or going out of your computer will go through this proxy server first.
That is before getting into or leaving your computer. So, if any malicious programs are trying to get into your system, they will be blocked by this proxy server first. This is before they even have a chance to get in because they will never have access to enter into your system.
