Know About Who Invented SASE? Is it really Thomas Edison?
Thomas Alva Edison built his own laboratory at Menlo Park, New Jersey in 1876. He had a fascination with electricity and decided to invent devices that would allow him to harness the energy from electric currents.

Though Thomas Edison is often credited with inventing the SASE, as of 2005, there were no records of Edison ever filing a patent for it. It is also doubtful that he ever actually invented the SASE. Most historians agree that the first patent for it was in 1891 by Robert C. Cox.
Regardless of who invented the SASE, it was an effective marketing device that allowed businesses to save money on postage and made it possible for businesses to communicate with their customers and clients.

Gartner researchers Neil McDonald and Joe Skorupa invented the name SASE, which was reported in a July 29, 2019, networking hype cycle and market trends analysis and an August 30, 2019, Gartner report.
SASE(Secure Access Service Edge) is a part of the Diameter protocol that is for the IETF for authentication and accounting in 3G networks. It is an extension of the Diameter protocol that was originally developed by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP).
SASE was created for the purpose of providing a secure authentication and accounting process between an endpoint and a network. This process is used when requests are made from endpoints to a network using the Diameter protocol. SASE provides security to endpoints by preventing fraudulent requests and fraudulent responses from being sent.
EAP-Diameter:
EAP-Diameter protocol was designed as a replacement for EAP-SIM. It was designed to take care of issues related to performance and security.
Secure Access Service Edge can be effectively used to provide security in networks while allowing applications to access resources easily.
SASE is a mechanism that can be used to provide security in networks. It can be used in conjunction with other mechanisms such as client-side secret, server-side secret, TTLS and IWA.
