1. Always be Professional means

Being professional means that you are always in control of your emotions. It is important to always portray yourself in the right light, especially when it comes to dealing with customers. I try to remember that my customers don’t know me and they don’t know about my team or what we’re going through on any particular day.

I believe that a lot of Internet security issues are brought on by poor customer service, so I’m very careful not to let that happen here. Being professional means being able to explain the reasons why something isn’t working, the issues we’re having on our side, and what we’re doing to fix it. Being professional means keeping your cool in stressful situations and putting the customer first.

2. Admit Your Mistakes

It’s important to admit when you make a mistake as opposed to trying to cover it up or claim that it’s not a big deal. If you make a mistake, admit it immediately. Don’t let your ego get in the way either. The faster you admit your mistakes, the faster they can be corrected and everyone can move on.

Trust is an extremely important aspect of any relationship, so don’t make a mistake worthy of losing your trust or credibility with customers or coworkers. If you make a mistake, just apologize for it and do everything in your power to correct it immediately!

3. Don’t Let Your Emotions Control You

It’s easy for me to get frustrated with customers because things can go wrong quite often with hosting companies, but I need to keep my emotions in check and be understanding because they don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes at our company and why we can’t instantly fix things for them.

If I come across as an angry person or as someone who doesn’t care about their problems, then they won’t want to do business with us anymore.

4. Get to Know Your Customers! It’s the Key to Success!

It’s very easy for me to sit at my desk all day taking tickets and working through them one by one, but I have to remember that my job is to help my customers and get to know them. This is extremely important when it comes to dealing with security issues.

I can’t just solve a ticket and forget about it; I have to see that the issue is really resolved by checking back in with the customer or getting daily reports from my team, who are working on the issue. It’s also important for me to ask questions about their business in order to understand how our products fit into it.

5. Keep Your Network Safe and Secure!

If there’s one thing that we do here at our company, it’s networking. We network with our coworkers and we network with our customers. In order to build relationships that will last long after the problems are resolved—and to keep them coming back!

We not only want them as customers but also as our friends because we truly believe that by knowing more about them and their businesses, we can help them keep their information safe and secure. We want our customers and coworkers alike to feel comfortable talking with us about any issues that may arise so we can handle them before they become serious problems!

6. Build Relationships with Customers and Coworkers, Success is in the Network!
7. Always Deliver Quality Work and Follow-Up with Customers if Necessary
8. Respect Others, You’ll Be Surprised What It Can Do for You!
9. Security is Not Black and White, It’s an Ongoing Process
