Network Security Essentials Applications and Standards Solutions

What are Network Security Essentials Applications and Standards Solutions? Are you looking for ways to improve network security?

Network Security Essentials Applications and Standards Solutions

Network Security Essentials is a four-course, vendor-neutral professional certification program designed for security professionals. This is with one or more years of experience in network administration, intrusion detection, and intrusion prevention. Network Security Essentials Applications and Standards Solutions certification program is designed to validate candidates’ knowledge.

The coursework associated with Network Security Essentials Applications and Standards Solutions certification is made up of four courses: Network Security Essentials (CompTIA Security+), Security Essentials Bootcamp, Security Analytics, and Security Operations.

Security Analytics is a self-paced, classroom-less training course designed to provide security professionals. This is with the technical knowledge required to properly monitor and detect intrusions. It is also designed to help individuals develop the skills required to remediate and respond to security threats.

The Security Analytics coursework is made up of two modules: Basic Security Analytics and Advanced Security Analytics.

Basic Security Analytics

Basic Security Analytics introduces the components and capabilities of Security Analytics. It consists of three modules: Introduction to Basic Security Analytics, Network Vulnerability Analysis, and Intrusion Detection and Threat Response.

Introduction to Basic Security Analytics provides an introduction to the Security Analytics platform. This includes the components that make up the platform and how they interact with one another. Also, it discusses the different ways network resources can be analyzed for vulnerabilities and threats.

Additionally, it looks at some of the common types of vulnerabilities that exist in IT environments. This includes spoofing attacks, protocol exploitation, email exploits, anti-virus bypass techniques, and more. Network Vulnerability Analysis teaches students how to use Security Analytics to analyze their networks for vulnerabilities.

Students will also learn how they can use Security Analytics’ vulnerability scanning features. Since they need to identify potential vulnerabilities before attackers can use them against their networks.

Intrusion Detection and Threat Response

Intrusion Detection and Threat Response teaches students how they can use Security Analytics’ intrusion detection capabilities. So to identify network intrusions before they become a significant threat. This module dives into some of the most common network intrusion detection methods available today.

This includes anomaly detection, protocol analysis, stateful protocol analysis, misuse detection, rule-based detection, and behavioral analysis. Hence, students will learn how they can incorporate all of these methods into effective intrusion detection strategies.

Security Analytics’ Advanced Security Analytics module consists of two modules: Advanced Network Vulnerability Analysis and Advanced Intrusion Detection and Threat Response.

Moreover, Security Analytics is a self-paced, classroom-less training course designed to provide security professionals. Also, this is with the technical knowledge required to properly monitor and detect intrusions. So, it is designed to help individuals develop the skills required to remediate and respond to security threats.

Moreover, the Security Analytics coursework is made up of two modules: Basic Security Analytics and Advanced Security Analytics. This course will teach students how to use the Advanced Network Vulnerability Analysis feature in Security Analytics. So to analyze their networks for more sophisticated vulnerabilities.
