SD Wan Solution Components
SD Wan Solution is comprised of two components: SD Virtual Server (SDS) and SD Gateway (SDE). So, SDS resides on a VMware ESX server at each site in the network. Also, The SDE appliance resides at the network hub site and is responsible for creating virtual circuits between each pair of sites in the network.
Moreover, a virtual circuit is a dedicated channel or pipe that carries traffic between two sites in the network. In addition, to establishing communication between sites, SDE also provides security for those communications by encrypting all data before it leaves one site for another. Thus, SDE manages encryption keys for every virtual circuit created in the network.
